Terms of Service

Applies to
The Game4Pay apps, app.game4pay.com, game4pay.com and our support channels
Published by
Eminent Concepts Technology Limited (RC 8278868)

These Terms set out what you can expect from Game4Pay and what we expect from you. They are written in plain language on purpose — an agreement about someone’s money should be readable by the person whose money it is.

The sections that matter most are entry fees and prizes, withdrawals and fair play.

18+. One account per person. Entry fees buy a seat in a tournament — they are not staked against other players, and no outcome depends on chance. Free practice and free tournaments are always available and cost nothing.

1The agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Eminent Concepts Technology Limited (RC 8278868), a company registered in Nigeria at Plot 2, Okporo Rumuehienwo Estate, Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt 500102, Rivers State, Nigeria. In this document “we”, “us” and “Game4Pay” mean that company.

They apply when you use the Game4Pay apps for Android and iOS, the web app at app.game4pay.com, this website at game4pay.com, or any of our support channels. Creating an account or entering a tournament means you accept them.

Three other documents form part of this agreement and are worth reading:

  • The Official Rules, which govern every paid tournament.
  • The Privacy Policy, which covers your personal data.
  • The Refund & Cancellation Policy, which covers deposits, entry fees and withdrawals.

Where the Official Rules and these Terms differ about how a tournament runs, the Official Rules win.

2Who may play

  • You must be 18 or over. There is no exception and no parental-consent route.
  • You must register in your own name, with your own details, and hold one account only.
  • You must not be barred from taking part by the law where you live.
  • Our staff, contractors and their immediate households may not enter paid tournaments.

Paid play is not offered everywhere. Where it is unavailable, free practice and free tournaments remain open, and an existing balance can still be withdrawn.

Multiple accounts are the one thing we treat as fraud rather than a mistake. One person, one account. A second account distorts skill matching, defeats deposit and withdrawal limits, and is the usual vehicle for collusion. Duplicate accounts are closed, and entry fees paid from them are forfeited.

3Your account

Keep your details accurate and your credentials to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, which is why we give you a PIN, two-factor authentication and biometric approval — please use them.

You may not sell, rent, lend or transfer your account, and you may not play on someone else’s.

Your date of birth and your country are eligibility claims rather than preferences. You set them once; correcting either goes through support so that a failed check cannot simply be retried with a better answer.

Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to your account.

4What Game4Pay is — and is not

Game4Pay runs short, skill-based tournaments. You pay a fixed entry fee for a seat, you play the same puzzle as everyone else in your group, and the best performance wins a share of the prize pool.

Four things remove chance from the outcome, and all four are properties of the system rather than promises:

  • Identical boards. Every player in a group receives the same board, generated on our server from a single seed. Nobody gets an easier layout and nobody can re-roll theirs.
  • No randomness in scoring. The same moves on the same board always produce the same score.
  • Skill-matched opponents. Groups are formed from a rating earned across settled results.
  • Server-side validation. Scores are checked against the recorded play. An impossible or tampered score is rejected before it reaches a leaderboard.

An entry fee buys a seat in a tournament. It is not a stake against other players, and no outcome turns on chance. Game4Pay is not a betting, casino or lottery service, does not offer games of chance, and does not accept wagers.

Your wallet is not a bank account. It holds funds for entering tournaments and receiving winnings. It pays no interest, may not be used to send money to another person, and is not a payment, savings or investment service.

5Free play and paid tournaments

Every game can be played free, for as long as you like, without depositing anything. Free practice and free tournaments carry no entry fee and no cash prize.

A paid tournament requires an entry fee, an account that is 18-plus verified, and a territory where paid play is offered. The entry fee, the prize structure and the platform fee are shown before you confirm — you never enter without seeing what it costs and what is at stake.

6Deposits, wallet and currency

You add funds inside the app, using the methods shown on the deposit screen for your country — for example a bank transfer, USSD or mobile money. We do not accept card payments. Payments are processed by licensed payment providers, and your banking passwords and PINs never reach us. Funds appear in your wallet once the provider confirms the payment; that is usually within a minute and occasionally takes longer.

When the app gives you a one-time account number, pay exactly the amount shown, before the time shown runs out. A transfer for a different amount, or one made after the account has expired, is returned to you by the bank rather than credited to your wallet.

Deposits are free: we pay the payment provider’s charge. Your own bank or mobile-money provider may charge you for sending the payment; that charge is between you and them.

Your wallet is held in the currency of your country. Some tournaments (“Global” tournaments) are priced in US dollars so that players in different countries can share one prize pool. You still pay, and are paid, in your own wallet’s currency, at the rate shown to you when you join; that rate is recorded on the transaction and is the rate any prize from that entry is paid at.

Deposits fund play. They are not purchases of goods and are not refundable as such — the route back out is a withdrawal. The Refund Policy covers the exceptions, including duplicate charges and payments that never arrive.

You must fund your wallet from a payment method in your own name. Depositing on behalf of someone else, or from an account you are not entitled to use, is grounds for closure.

7Entry fees, prize pools and our fee

Entry fees from a group form the prize pool. We retain a percentage as the platform fee — this is how Game4Pay earns, and it is disclosed on the tournament before you join. The remainder is distributed to the winners according to the payout structure shown for that tournament.

Winnings are credited to your wallet on settlement. Prizes are cash credited to the wallet, not goods, and are not exchangeable for anything else.

8Results and disputes

The result recorded by our servers is the result. The highest score inside the tournament window wins; an equal score is broken in favour of whoever reached it first.

If you think a result is wrong, tell us within 30 days of it being settled. We keep the board seed, the recorded play and the validation outcome for exactly this, so a dispute is usually answerable from the record rather than from opinion. After 30 days a settled result is final.

We may void a result, and reverse the payout, where a score was produced by cheating, a bug, or a fault in the platform — including after it has been credited. Where a fault is ours, entrants are made whole.

9Withdrawals

You can withdraw your available balance to a payout account in your own name. Before a withdrawal completes we may need to:

  • confirm your email or phone;
  • confirm your date of birth, if it is not already on the account;
  • verify your identity, if the amount is above the unverified tier; and
  • complete security or fraud checks.

A minimum amount, a withdrawal fee and per-period limits apply. All three are shown before you confirm, and they may change — the figures you see at the moment you confirm are the ones that apply. The fee and the minimum can depend on how you are paid: in Ghana, for example, a mobile-money payout and a bank payout are priced differently.

If you withdraw money that you deposited but never used in a tournament, we may add a small cost-recovery fee equal to what our payment provider charged us to receive that deposit. It never applies to winnings or to deposits you have played, it never stops you withdrawing, and whenever it applies it is shown as its own line before you confirm.

A payout account must belong to you. Withdrawals to a third party’s bank account are refused. This is not an inconvenience we can waive: it is the check that stops accounts being used to move other people’s money.

If a payout fails at the bank, the funds are returned to your wallet and you can try again with corrected details.

10Bonuses and promotions

We sometimes credit promotional bonus funds — a welcome bonus, for instance. Bonus funds are not cash:

  • they can be used to enter tournaments, and cannot be withdrawn directly;
  • a tournament may limit how much of its entry fee bonus funds can cover, and that limit is shown before you confirm an entry;
  • they expire if unused — 30 days for a welcome or campaign bonus and 60 days for a referral bonus, counted from the day each one is credited. The date is shown in your wallet and again when the bonus is granted; and
  • winnings from a bonus-funded entry are real balance, and are withdrawable in the normal way.

Free tournaments work differently. Where we fund the whole prize and you staked nothing to enter, what you win is credited as bonus funds rather than cash, and is subject to everything above. Any tournament you paid to enter — with cash, with bonus funds, or with both — pays winnings as real, withdrawable balance.

Bonuses are one per person. Abusing a promotion — through duplicate accounts, collusion, or entering with no intent to compete — forfeits the bonus and anything won from it.

11Fair play and prohibited conduct

The product is a tournament nobody can rig, so this section is the one we enforce hardest. You must not:

  • use a bot, script, macro, emulator or modified client, or automate play in any way;
  • tamper with the app, the game state, your device clock or our network traffic;
  • exploit a bug rather than reporting it — if you find one, tell us and we will thank you properly;
  • hold more than one account, or play on an account that is not yours;
  • collude with other players to fix a result or split a prize pool;
  • use another person’s payment method or payout account;
  • attempt to access other users’ data, or probe, scan or overload our systems;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer or copy the games, the boards or the platform; or
  • harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate anyone, in chat or anywhere else.

Where we find cheating we may void the affected results, forfeit entry fees and bonuses, withhold or reverse a payout, and close the account. Where an account is closed for cheating, the deposits it made remain withdrawable — what is forfeited is what was won unfairly, not the player’s own money.

12Chat and anything you post

Game4Pay includes chat: Community, group chats, the chat inside each competition, and private messages. These are the chat rules.

  • No scams. Do not ask anyone to send money, or to pay or be paid, outside Game4Pay. Do not post bank account numbers to collect money.
  • No harassment, threats or bullying, and no hate speech.
  • No sexual content, and never an intimate image of anyone shared without their consent.
  • No cheating or collusion — do not arrange results, share an account, or agree to split a prize.
  • No one else’s personal details — their phone number, address, bank or identity details.
  • No spam, and no links designed to harm other players.

Report and block. You can report any message or player from the chat, and block a player so they cannot message you. A person on our team reads every report. Complaints about an intimate image shared without consent are acted on within 48 hours.

What we may do. A moderator may remove a message that breaks these rules, stop an account from sending messages for a time, or suspend it. A removed message is replaced by a note that says why. If your message is removed and you think that was a mistake, tap Ask for a review on it and someone will look again.

Who can read chat. Our moderators can review Community, competition and group chats. Private messages are not routinely read; the Privacy Policy says exactly when one can be.

What you write stays yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the feature — to store your message, show it to the people you sent it to, back it up, and moderate it. That licence is worldwide and royalty-free because servers are, and it ends when the content is deleted.

We do not acquire rights to sell, publish or advertise with what you post, or to use your name, image or voice. If we ever want to quote you in marketing, we will ask.

Feedback and suggestions are different: if you send us an idea for improving Game4Pay, we may act on it without owing you anything. Please do not send us anything confidential.

13Suspension, restriction and closure

We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably believe:

  • these Terms have been broken;
  • the account is being used for fraud, money laundering or another crime;
  • we are required to by law, a regulator, or our payment provider; or
  • the account’s security has been compromised.

We will tell you when we do, and why, unless the law prevents us. A restriction that holds your money is reviewed by a person, and you can contest it.

You may close your account at any time — see Account & Data Deletion. Withdraw your balance first. Closing an account does not automatically pay out what is in it, and a closed account’s balance is harder to release, not easier.

14Our intellectual property, and your licence to use it

The games, artwork, sounds, text, software and the Game4Pay name and logo belong to us or to our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and the service for your own entertainment.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of it, or remove any proprietary notice, except where the law says you may regardless of what a contract states.

The games are our own designs and original artwork. If you believe something on Game4Pay infringes your rights, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify the work and we will investigate.

15Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Game4Pay running, and cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may add, change or remove games and features. Where a change materially affects a tournament you have already entered, we will not apply it to that tournament.

If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give notice and a reasonable period to withdraw your balance.

16Disclaimers and limits on liability

The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that a particular game will always be available.

We are responsible to you for loss we cause by breaking this agreement or by failing to use reasonable care and skill — including, plainly, your wallet balance and any prize you properly won. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by your own breach of these Terms, or for a device, network or payment failure outside our control.

Except for our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for anything else the law does not permit us to limit, our total liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount in your wallet and the total of what you paid us in that period.

Nothing in this agreement removes a consumer right you have under the law of the country you live in. Where a term here conflicts with such a right, the right applies.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if we are sued because you used Game4Pay unlawfully or broke these Terms.

17Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for a material change we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Game4Pay after that date means you accept the new version; if you do not, you can close your account and withdraw your balance.

A change never applies retroactively to a tournament that has already settled.

18Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer law and may bring a claim in your local courts.

Please come to us first. Email [email protected] with what happened and we will respond within 14 days. Most disputes are about a specific result or payment and are resolved from the record.

If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something immediately does not mean we have given up the right to.
