Account & Data Deletion
You can close your Game4Pay account and have your personal data erased at any time, without giving a reason and without asking anyone. It is a control in the app: Account → Delete my account. This page explains what that does, what happens over the following 30 days, and the records we are legally required to keep afterwards.
Withdraw your wallet balance first. Closing an account does not pay it out, and the app will not accept the request while money is still in your wallet — releasing funds from a closed account is slower for everyone.
Before you start: withdraw your balance
Deletion does not pay you out. If your wallet holds money, withdraw it first — it is far easier to move funds out of an open account than to release them from a closed one.
- Withdraw your available balance to your payout account.
- Let any tournament you have entered finish, so a prize you win still has somewhere to land.
- Then come back and request deletion.
Bonus funds cannot be withdrawn and are lost on closure. That is what promotional credit is — it buys tournament entries, it was never cash. Anything you won using it is real balance and withdraws normally.
How to request deletion
In the app — the quickest route, and the one to use
Open Account → Delete my account. The screen shows what will be erased and what we have to keep, asks you to confirm with your password (or your PIN, if your account signs in with Google, Apple or Facebook), and schedules the closure. You do not need to contact anyone, and nobody has to approve it.
The same screen is where you cancel — see section 4.
By email — if you can no longer sign in
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account and data”, and tell us your username.
If you cannot email from your registered address, say so and we will find another way to confirm it is you. We ask for the minimum that establishes it — the check exists to stop somebody else closing your account, so we are not going to skip it.
A request made this way is actioned by hand once we have confirmed who you are, so it is immediate rather than scheduled — there is no grace period, because the wait exists to protect an account from somebody else, and we have just established that it is you.
What happens, and when
| Step | Timing |
|---|---|
| You confirm in the app | Immediate |
| You are signed out on every device, and push notifications and marketing stop | Immediate |
| Your account can no longer add money or enter paid tournaments | Immediate |
| You can still sign in, but only to cancel | For the next 30 days |
| Your personal data is erased from live systems | 30 days after you confirm |
| Encrypted backups holding the erased data expire and roll off | Within 90 days |
The 30-day wait is not there to talk you out of it, and nothing chases you during it. It is there because closing an account is the most damaging thing somebody who has got into it can do, and a window in which the real owner can undo that is what makes it recoverable. Nothing is erased before the 30 days are up, and nothing survives after.
Changing your mind
Sign in at any point in the 30 days and open Account → Delete my account, then choose Keep my account. Everything comes back exactly as it was — nothing has been erased yet, so there is nothing to restore.
After the 30 days there is nothing to cancel and nothing we can recover. The erasure overwrites the fields in place; there is no copy of your name or email address anywhere for support to put back.
What gets erased
- Your name, username, email address, phone number and avatar.
- Your date of birth and country.
- Your password, PIN, two-factor secret, backup codes and biometric credential.
- Your link to Google, Apple or Facebook, so signing in with them cannot reopen the account.
- Your saved payout accounts — the bank details you withdraw to.
- Your device records, sessions and push notification tokens.
- Your notification and display preferences, and your saved game progress.
- Your marketing subscriptions, including the waitlist.
- The text of every chat message you sent.
These are overwritten in place, not moved to an archive. There is no copy left for us to consult, which is also why the closure cannot be reversed once it has run.
Your gameplay history is detached from your identity rather than deleted outright: a settled leaderboard stays intact and other players keep the results they earned, but nothing in it points back to you. Chat messages are handled the same way — the row stays so replies and threads still make sense to the people who wrote them, and the words you wrote are replaced.
What we have to keep, and for how long
Some records cannot be erased on request. This is a legal obligation on us rather than a preference, and pretending otherwise would be the easier thing to write and the wrong one.
| What | Kept for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit, withdrawal and wallet transaction records | At least 7 years | Financial record-keeping and anti-money-laundering law |
| Identity verification records, where you completed KYC | Up to 7 years after closure | The same rules. The document images are deleted at the earliest point the rule allows. |
| Support tickets you raised | Up to 7 years | A complaint is a business record and may be evidence in a dispute. The account it came from is anonymised. |
| A one-way fingerprint of the email address and phone number the account used | Indefinitely | So a closed account cannot quietly be recreated to reset limits, bonuses or a fraud finding. It cannot be turned back into your address — it is a hash, not a copy. |
| Records under legal hold | Until the matter ends | An active dispute, investigation or regulatory request |
What is kept is locked down: it is not used for marketing, not used to build a profile, and reachable only by the staff who handle compliance and disputes.
Deleting the app is not deleting your account
Uninstalling removes the app from your device. Your account, your wallet and your data stay exactly as they were, and you can sign back in at any time from another device or the web.
If you want the data gone, close the account — Account → Delete my account. That is the only thing that does it.
If you want something short of deletion
Deletion is not the only option, and often not the one people actually want:
- A copy of your data, in a machine-readable format.
- A correction to something inaccurate.
- Stop marketing without closing anything — unsubscribe from any email, or switch off notification categories in the app.
- Pause your account while a dispute is resolved, rather than closing it.
Ask for any of these at [email protected]. Section 13 of the Privacy Policy sets out the full list of rights and how we handle them.

7If you signed in with Google, Apple or Facebook
Removing Game4Pay’s access from the provider’s side stops future sign-ins. It does not delete your Game4Pay account or the data we already hold — for that, use Account → Delete my account as described in section 2.
Do the Game4Pay request first. Revoking access before you ask us can lock you out of the account you were trying to close, which leaves you emailing support instead of tapping a button.
